Off to Peru!

This past Wednesday, September 1st, was Justin's report day to go to the MTC. He was so excited that the day finally had come. He received his call in April, so waiting for September to come felt like forever to him...however, I felt like the time flew by! I definitely had mixed feelings about the day. Well, honestly, I hate MTC day. It is really hard for me to say good-bye, but I tried to hold back the tears!!
I really like this first picture of Jay though because I think it sums him up all at once. I love his smile and laugh. Nick and I gave Justin a cd player with some speakers for his mission. He was pretty excited because he didn't have one to take.

Goofy picture!! Jay was getting really sick of his paparatzzi sisters and mother chasing him with a camera all day :)

Walking off to the mission...Bye Justin. I know you are going to be such a great missionary in Peru. WE LOVE YOU!

Pregnancy...Growing by the day

So I know everyone has been wanting to see some pictures of the growing belly, so here you go. I acutally haven't been very good at taking them regularly, but here are two that I have taken to send to my sister Megan on her mission. I am actually much bigger now since this week I am 27 weeks! I will take another picture soon and post it.

Boy or Girl??

Nick's family came up to visit us the first week of July and they were able to spend a whole we with us. We had such a great time together! I really wanted them to be in town for my upcoming "gender" ultrasound, but I was only 19 weeks and my doctor said I needed to wait till 20 weeks. I decided to call the doctor office anyway to see if they would let me go the end of my 19th week. I was scheduled to have my ultrasound scheduled for July 16th, but instead we were able to get it done on July 9th. I think most everyone guessed that we would be having a girl and so I was getting ready for a girl in my mind. We got into the ultrasound room and the doctor started showing us the head and the legs and for a brief moment, I thought I had discovered the gender on my own (if you know what I mean), but I decided to just be patient and wait for the doctor to make it absolute. We could see the baby kick it's legs and we even saw a yawn!! It was really such an exciting and happy moment for me. I think the last time I felt so happy was on Nick and my wedding day. I loved every minute of the ultrasound. Then the doctor said "do you want to know the gender?" and we both smiled and said "YES". The doctor went straight to it...the baby made it pretty easy...but my first view was right...it is a BOY! We are very excited to welcome little baby boy Taylor to our home.
