It is my family tradition to leave the day after thanksgiving and travel up to the mountains by Fish Lake and cut our own Christmas tree. This was Nick's first time going (and at first I think he thought it was a bit crazy), but we all had so much fun. Nick and I drove down after he finished work on Friday night. We stayed in a hotel in Richfield and went swimming with all the cousins and then stayed up late and watched a show on tv. The next morning we woke up early (6:30) and had some breakfast and drove about another hour up the mountain. It was a lot of driving, but this is mine and Nick's first Christmas tree and we love it! We had a lot of fun hunting for it and cutting it down together! It was a lot more work than driving to a tree lot, but we think our tree is extra special! :) Merry Christmas to everyone!

Me and my sisters carved pumpkins last night. I haven't done it for a few years and really wanted to this Halloween. My sisters are much more creative than I am :) but we had a lot of fun!

Roses Are Red. . .

Look at what my sweet husband sent me to work last Thursday! I was so surprised and I couldn't wipe the smile off my face for the rest of the day. I have the best husband in the world!

Our new pet?

Nick and I drove in the driveway one afternoon and spoted this deer eating fruit in our backyard! It let us take lot of pictures of him! :) We've seen the deer in our backyard about 9 or 10 times since these pictures were taken. . .so we decided to name him Elliot (like from the movie Open Season - because it looks just like him right?)
