It is my family tradition to leave the day after thanksgiving and travel up to the mountains by Fish Lake and cut our own Christmas tree. This was Nick's first time going (and at first I think he thought it was a bit crazy), but we all had so much fun. Nick and I drove down after he finished work on Friday night. We stayed in a hotel in Richfield and went swimming with all the cousins and then stayed up late and watched a show on tv. The next morning we woke up early (6:30) and had some breakfast and drove about another hour up the mountain. It was a lot of driving, but this is mine and Nick's first Christmas tree and we love it! We had a lot of fun hunting for it and cutting it down together! It was a lot more work than driving to a tree lot, but we think our tree is extra special! :) Merry Christmas to everyone!

Me and my sisters carved pumpkins last night. I haven't done it for a few years and really wanted to this Halloween. My sisters are much more creative than I am :) but we had a lot of fun!

Roses Are Red. . .
Look at what my sweet husband sent me to work last Thursday! I was so surprised and I couldn't wipe the smile off my face for the rest of the day. I have the best husband in the world!

Our new pet?
Nick and I drove in the driveway one afternoon and spoted this deer eating fruit in our backyard! It let us take lot of pictures of him! :) We've seen the deer in our backyard about 9 or 10 times since these pictures were taken. . .so we decided to name him Elliot (like from the movie Open Season - because it looks just like him right?)

So, it's been over 2 months now that Nick and I have been married! My camera isn't working right now, so since I've been teased for not putting more stuff on my blog ;) I thought I would add some more wedding pictures! This was Gavin's favorite activity for the night! Blowing out the candles....it was funny.
Cute Katie walking around
Dancing with my best friend in the whole world!!
I love this picture of my family.

Happily Ever After....
Nick and I have officially been married now for three weeks and one day! It has been the best decision of my life. I am happier than I have ever been to get to be with the one I love forever. Nick treats me like a princess! I love him more than anything.
We went to Disney World and on a cruise to the Bahama's for our honeymoon! If you know me well, then you will know how much I love going to Disneyland, so it was the best to go to one of my favorite places with my best friend.
The Bahama's was so relaxing and the ocean water was so clear. One of the day's on the cruise, we were able to go jet skiing around the ocean. At our first stop with our tour guide, Nick and I looked to the side of our jet ski and saw a jellyfish!!! That was really exciting! On our last stop, our guide dove into the water and brought up a giant starfish!
It was relaxing to lay in our beach chairs with the palm tree's hovering us and the ocean rolling up on the sand!
Nick and I have spent a lot of time the last week decorating our new apartment. We live in the main floor of a house in Bountiful Utah and we've been able to make it our home! I love being able to come home to see Nick after work every day!
Hope you all are doing well. We love you all and thank you for your friendship!
